User Reviews about Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
This unit is great. I have it mounted on a Nikon D90, and it makes a huge difference in photo quality. D90 is a great camera, but for inside shots, more than 50% of the quality comes from the flash. I was told that some of my indoor photos look like made by a professional. And I"m not, it's just the flash that made them so. I also like that you can tilt it sideways (to bounce off the ceiling in portrait mode). -- Awesome flash
I bought this flash to use on my Nikon D200 and it works better than I had hoped. You can refine it to your personal taste and it has more options than I'm actually smart enough to use. But do not worry, you do not have to be a super geek camera to get excellent results from the start. This thing has a great "scope" as it actually zooms right with your goal of identifying the subject. This is just audible enough to let you know that does this. I'm really glad I bought this thing. Much better than the small pop-up flash. -- Very nice product
This flash was exactly what I was looking for. I needed better dinstance lighting for night time shooting as well as more natural lighting when shooting indoors. This flash fits the bill perfectly. highly recommended. -- Nikon SB-600 Review
Before I owned a flash for my Nikon D80, I wasn't fully aware of the difference it would make and how much I would use it. A few months after finally buying it, I wondered why I had waited that long. It's the first accessory I recommend anyone asking for suggestions when starting up with a dslr.
If you are considering the SB-400, I would suggest you pay the extra for this: especially for the off camera wireless capability, meaning you don't need any other accessories to allow it to work while not attached to your camera. This makes all the difference! -- An essential for a Nikon DSLR owner
I'VE BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER SINCE I GOT INTERRESTED IN VIETNAM IN 1970. I'VE USED ALL KINDS OF EQUIPMENT FROM THE LITTLE SUNPACK TO THE HONEYWELLS WEIGHING 8 LBS EACH.
I THINK WHEN I LEARN TO USE THIS UNIT PROPERLY, IT WILL PROBABLY BE THE LAST FLASH I'LL EVER NEED TO BUY.
IT'S VERSATILITY IS AMAZING AND WILL ALLOW ME TO "INVENT" AN EVEN MORE VERSITILE PRODUCT. -- SPEEDLITE
